Description
Teaching today means doing more than delivering lessons; it means helping students grow socially and emotionally.
Students face a world of complex relationships that require them to identify and manage their emotions, interact constructively with others, understand healthy boundaries, and take responsibility.
But how can you support your students if you don’t take care of yourself first?
This course brings together two powerful approaches: Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and simple, practical self-care strategies that help teachers stay balanced, energized, and focused.
Throughout the week, participants will dive into the foundations of SEL, learning what it means to recognize and manage emotions, build healthy relationships, and make responsible choices.
At the same time, they will explore ways to take care of your own well-being using gentle movement, breathing techniques, mindfulness, and reflection. They will have the chance to slow down, recharge, and develop tools you can use both in and out of the classroom.
By focusing on stress management, building resilience, and acquiring coping strategies, the course will help participants create a more positive and supportive learning environment that promotes personal well-being and social-emotional learning for you and your students.
Participants will learn a variety of methods, energy tools, and mind-body activities to promote personal and social-emotional skills. They will start by focusing on their own well-being, learning different stress-reducing methods, and recharging their energy.
There will be space to reflect individually, share ideas with colleagues from other countries, and co-create teaching strategies that support emotional growth and well-being.
The course explains every concept in clear, simple English and employs a variety of tools to ensure full comprehension. The trainer, experienced in supporting learners with limited English proficiency, provides additional assistance whenever necessary.
A mix of pictures, videos, step‑by‑step instructions, and collaborative activities guarantees that no participant is left behind. Participants remain engaged through group learning, with continuous support always available.
By the end of the course, participants will acquire a set of techniques and exercises to manage stress, maintain high energy levels, and efficiently encourage personal and social-emotional growth.
They will walk away with new ideas, ready-to-use activities, and a personal plan for creating a healthier and more connected classroom.
Note: Please remember to bring your own laptop, as it will be required during the course.
