I would definitely recommend the course, ‘Neuroscience: Understand how your students learn’ to colleagues.
The course is mainly taught by Jenn and in my opinion, the fact that she’s a native speaker is an absolute plus. From the beginning it was obvious we were dealing… More with a true professional. Analysing people and behaviours comes natural to Jenn, who has a degree in psychology. I believe her background in psychology truly benefits the course. It’s obvious that Jenn has a lot of knowledge on the course’s subject. This made it easier for us as students to study the subject in depth, as Jenn was able to explain the concepts to us with natural ease. Jenn’s natural authority contributed greatly to the group dynamics and contributed to creating a safe space for the group- which consisted of people from all over Europe.
The following subjects that were taught in the course inspired me the most: Sensory Perception, Memory & Attention, Pretesting and curiosity, The role of emotions / Stress and motivation.
I attended a very valuable course, the main topic of which was: Conflict Management, Emotional Intelligence and Bullying Prevention. The trainer combined theoretical and practical knowledge very well, always paying attention to reflection and group work. The location… More was a wonderful, life-changing experience.
Tenerife is largely divided into three climatic areas: the hot South, with a peculiar contrast between country villages in the mountains and the range of tourist accommodation and magnificent beaches on the coast; the greener North combines stunning landscapes with Tenerife’s most genuine gastronomy and hidden corners. And the Metropolitan Area, consisting of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and San Cristobal de La Laguna, the cities referent for the Island’s cultural, commercial and business life.
1) Candelaria
When the Canary people themselves want to go for a day trip, where do they choose? Visiting The Virgin de Candelaria in her beach-front cathedral is a popular choice. Candelaria, 15 minutes away from the capital city, is a curious mix of a pilgrimage location, a market town, and a beach resort. It celebrates not only the island’s patron saint but also Guanche heritage, with a series of notable sculptures of their forebear leaders.
2) Anaga Mountains
You can escape the city quite quickly, in order to discover a completely different pace of life in the Anaga Bio reserve. Hiking paths, traversing ancient cloud forests, lead down through agricultural terraces, to the sea.
3) Teide National Park
The Teide National Park is a MUST while in Tenerife. It is the highest mountain in Spain (3.715 m) Explore the mountain with an official guide, then hop on a cable car, which takes you almost to the summit. You can also climb to the top of Mount Teide with an early-bird reservation.
4) Los Gigantes Cliffs
For one of the best views of the cliffs, you should head over to Mirador de Archipenque. This is the perfect spot to watch the sunset and you can see the lovely neighboring island of La Gomera. You can also spend some time at Playa Los Guios beach.
5) Masca, the hidden village in Tenerife
Masca is a village in the inland of Tenerife in a location where residents used to hide when they were being attacked by pirates. The views are spectacular and there is a restaurant overlooking the valley, where you must go for a cup of coffee.
6) Garachico
Garachico is Tenerife’s most charming town. It’s like going back in time; although this small town has a rather dark history, being destroyed not once, but two times by volcanic eruptions, now you can go for a walk, eat some ice cream, and go swimming in the natural pools here.
6) Opera Santa Cruz
Can’t decide between the opera, the pool or the botanical gardens? These three marvelous distractions lie side by side in Santa Cruz. Will you have the energy to see and do it all?
7) Santa Cruz de Tenerife
It’s cloudy and you don’t know what you should do. You could go and visit the island’s capital – Santa Cruz de Tenerife. There are many things to do, including great shopping opportunities (the only Primark on the island is located inside the Meridiano Shopping Center) along with the opera, a pool, and botanical gardens.
