Description

Discover Berlin’s dynamic urban landscape through an innovative educational approach that goes beyond traditional classrooms.

This course emphasizes the invaluable role of museums in Berlin as dynamic platforms for interactive learning, sparking curiosity, and fostering active engagement with ideas.

Participants will immerse themselves in Berlin’s cultural and educational scene by visiting esteemed museums like the Neues Museum and the Neue Nationalgalerie. These institutions are highlighted for their role in going beyond passive observation, actively encouraging participants to question and explore the unknown.

The course offers an experiential learning journey, turning the entire city into a classroom for developing critical thinking and honing higher-level cognitive skills.

By incorporating study visits to Berlin’s diverse museums and contemporary exhibition spaces, the course aims to enrich both curricular and extracurricular learning experiences.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore key cultural hubs, including the Neues Museum, the DDR Museum, and the Bauhaus Archive.

Furthermore, they will engage with exhibitions, gain insights into the collaborative efforts between these institutions and educational entities, and participate in workshops led by experienced pedagogues.

This course goes beyond the academic realm, providing a unique social experience for networking with colleagues from across Europe. Participants will learn strategies for sustaining their Erasmus mobilities, supporting local life and culture, and implementing impactful Erasmus projects.

By the end of the course, participants will acquire the ability to seamlessly integrate informal learning spaces, such as Berlin’s museums, with formal classroom settings. They will also grasp the transformative impact of new technologies on preserving and immersing oneself in history and culture.

In addition to enhancing their understanding of Berlin’s cultural heritage, participants will gain profound insights into sustainable development practices.

Furthermore, participants will be equipped with the knowledge to effectively incorporate museum visits into their school curriculum. They will learn to connect these experiences to current socio-historical challenges, recognizing them as essential elements for reflection within the educational framework.
